The Earth element in Yoga is found in structure and stability, and allows the body to unwind in long hold stretches. The key to effective Earth practice is found in understanding alignment, engagement and the use of props to keep the joints safe and open.
Join Rebel Monk teacher Nick Fischer for an exploration of the Earth element through practice, play and learning from the inside out. He’ll guide you to safely explore the use of props such as bolsters, blocks, blankets and straps to enhance the Earth effect in posture (asana) practice, and deepen your connection with the body through insight and personal experience.
This 2 hour workshop will be essential for yoga teachers and trainees looking to teach Earth Chill or similar classes, and students who wish to deepen their grounded practice and understand how to safely use props to achieve practice goals.
